Attorney Spangenberg was born and raised in Northeast Wisconsin, graduating from Peshtigo High School in 1981 and from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1986. He began his graduate studies in 1988 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and obtained both a Master's degree in business (MBA) and a law degree (JD) in 1990.
Following graduation, Attorney Spangenberg began his legal career as a tax attorney for the national accounting firm of Price Waterhouse in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1990. Thereafter, he joined a small private practice law firm in northeastern Wisconsin for five years before joining a four-lawyer firm in Marinette in 1997.
For the next 12 years, his practice focused on assisting injured clients, but continued to be involved in all areas of law, including probate, real estate, estate planning, and family law.
Attorney Spangenberg is licensed to practice in both Wisconsin and Michigan. He is a member of the Marinette Country Bar Association (past President), Wisconsin State Bar, Michigan State Bar, and the Wisconsin Association of Justice.
Currently, Attorney Spangenberg resides in Peshtigo, WI where he is an active member of his community and church. He advises both the Town of Peshtigo and the City of Peshtigo on legal issues. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Peshtigo Area Economic Development Corporation, the Peshtigo Area Community Foundation, a subsidiary of the Marinette and Menominee Area Community Foundation, and the UW-Marinette Foundation.
He and his wife of 24 years are proud of their daughter who is attending college at their alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Madison. When not working or spending time with his family, he enjoys attending sporting events, cooking, gardening, hunting, fishing and music.
Katrina D. Kuntze: Katrina was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She graduated with honors from Northern Michigan University in 2001, earning a B.S. Degree in Public Administration. While attending NMU, she enjoyed working in the Sports Information Department of the University, and also enjoyed being a member of the University's cross country team.
Her legal career began in 2002 and includes experience in personal injury, civil litigation, family law, estate planning, real estate, business law, and criminal law. Katrina is also a Michigan Notary Public. With over 13 years of experience in the legal field, she is committed to providing caring and compassionate service to all Spangenberg Law Offices, LLC clients.
Katrina resides in the U.P. of Michigan and is an active member of her church and of the local community. She coaches her local high school girl’s track team and organizes the team's annual 4th of July 5K Run/Walk Fundraiser. She enjoys running and participating in many local 5K's and half-marathons, but especially enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Rebecca R. Marotz: Rebecca was born in Marinette and raised in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. She graduated and obtained her associates degree in Paralegal Studies from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in 2003. While attending NWTC, she gained legal experience as an intern at a small law firm.
Her legal career began in 2004 and includes experience in estate planning, real estate, probate, business law, guardianship, family law and municipal matters. She is also a Wisconsin Notary Public. Rebecca has over 11 years of legal experience and enjoys helping clients with their legal needs.
Rebecca currently resides in Marinette with her husband and two children. She takes pleasure in playing piano, bicycling and walking. She is an active member of her church and enjoys singing in the choir and playing the organ.
